Dutch Defense as white?

Im wondering if it’s possible to play an effective Dutch Defense as white or if the Dutch defense has a variant for white.
There is the Bird opening if that is what you're talking about, 1. f4. It isn't as common as the Dutch, but it is still definitely playable.
Bird’s opening (1.f4) most often transposes into a reversed Dutch where White has 1 extra tempo. But Black does not HAVE TO commit to 1...d5 quite so early. You’ll have to learn how to respond to the dangerous From’s Gambit (1...e5!?), symmetrical lines with 1...f5), and other strange ideas (...c5, ...b6, ...d6, ...g6) as well as noncommittal waiting moves (...Nf6, ...e6).
