Elephant Gambit or Latvian Gambit?

Which is better and why? I'm planning a surprise opening against 1. e4, e5 2. Nf3

The Latvian as it is basically known out to a draw in Correspondence, but not worth it as Black must know many only moves across many lines! The elephant gambit is basically busted. Better off learning the Petroff if you want something not overplayed.

Do not learn the ruy lopez lol. I suggest Gotham chess openings like the Vienna and caro kann. There's a reason why I'm 1800

But if you had to learn those two openings I would say latvian. Great opening for bullet or OTB Blitz
