This line is ultra-passive... the English version of the Giuoco Pianissimo.

I'm not sure e2-e4 on move 7 is accurate with the pinnable knight on f3. 7...Bg5 8.h3 Bxf3 9.Bxf3 Nd4 is interesting. Maybe ::offer draw:: is White's best plan.

i always play a early d4 as white in symmetrical english because its to annoying when black only mime moves since i cant seem to punish it
