favorite chess opening(s)?

Mostly the same openings like yours. Or more.

French Defense all the way! Give me White! Give me Black! Doesn't matter!
I won't play the Tarrasch or Exchange as White, but pretty much anything else is fair game from either side. I play the Advance, King's Indian Attack, and 3.Nc3 against the French, and everything except the Burn as Black (Winawer, Classical, McCutchen, Rubinstein, and of course the Black side of the Tarrasch, Exchange, Advance, KIA, and various gambit lines, like 2.b3 or the Wing Gambit).
The modern defence is fun to play but my favourite opening is probably the French defence. It is a great opening

I go a different route that is not all that common among players, I prefer to keep it as simple as possible.
The 3...Qd8 Scandinavian, Tarrasch Defense against 1 d4 (and usually same setup against flank openings), and the Keep It Simple 1 e4 book's repertoire.
Yes, I do consider the Tarrasch Defense simpler, relatively speaking, to other 1 d4 defenses.
It's still chess of course, it can't be reduced to checkers, but I try.
I have played the London quite a bit but about to only play the 1 e4 repertoire from now on, I like it better.

Sicilian najdorf, because its enjoyable for both. Queens gambit because its also fun, declined, accepted and slav are also nice. Petrovs also ends up in fun positions. And lastly maybe French advanced because the position is fin for white, ruy lopez is also fun

I actually like the Sicilian Defense: Open, Löwenthal variation, you guys should check it out.
Checking out the Lowenthal is like checking out a 95 year old woman! No thanks!
