French Tarrasch trap

I've never played the Tarrasch against the French before, had a look at a few DB games and decided to give it a try. In my 1st game, I stumbled upon this 'trap'(?)

Interesting but 4. Bd3 is the wrong move.  I may be wrong, but it seems to transpose into a poor version of the Rubinstein Variation.  I play 4. e5 Nfd7 5. f4 now I've got used to being able not to castle kingside (rather than 4. Bd3) and I get a good game from it.

It looks like 11. Nxf7 might lead to more than Qxa8 by the way

yeah 7...b6 wasn't good, and I certainly prefer 11.Nxf7... with a good chance to pick up 3 pawns for the knight.

black capturing on e4 might also transpose to the Fort Knox variation if white doesn't get a knight to e5 quickly.
