g6 produces black square holes all over the K-side.

. Then 9...f5 seems to give black good play. Thought 6...Nc6 looked at kooky move Ne7, Qc7 or Qa5 more familar to me. It has actually been played by some strong players though.

Tonight I played this against a local master (and seven time state champ)
I had never seen this position where the pawn on g7 wasn't taken. I made the laughable mistake of castleing in this position and went on to get crushed.
Is anyone familiar with this? Would ...g6 have worked out?
