Fried Liver Attack counter attack

Whenever someone plays fried liver attack against there is a crushing counter attack that you can play.

As a Traxler Counterattack player, i notice you missed almost the "main line". For the good of whoever reads this, here is my analysis of the Traxler. Hope you like it!

Very interesting, much better than just going into the main line of the Fried Liver Attack.

As an italian game player, I find the traxler weak. Usually, after Kxf2, white is winning, and 9. hxg3 isn't the best, as it removes the cover on the king. I think just d5 is better than Bc5.

love the traxler, I'm a slow player, always running into time trouble and I cringe at the italian game because it usually means going down to the wire where I run out of time. The traxler pretty much guarantees  either a mating attack for black or you lose so much material you're just beat. I play it a lot, here's some minatures I played where my opponents obviously had no idea what to do.

unfortuntaley no examples where the bishop takes d5, losing the queen to Bg4. Not going to annotate these, as the main moves are discussed, just to see ideas for how the game goes. Of course, with correct defense white will win, but the point is correct defense is difficult to find in a rapid/blitz game when black has presented you with a completely different type of game to the one you were expecting.

probably the best example of the difference in development in the two sides. The ending has the queenside bishop, knight and rook on their original squares while blacks remaining pieces are all involved in the attack and mate is unstoppable.

Without engine analysis off of pure instinct i dont think its forced to take on f2

MathsMaths0

No but after the line

for example, white is totally fine. (I've had this line in a couple of games as white)

6.Kf1

6. Kf1 is just bad to me.

MathsMaths0

by bad I mean worse, slightly

Typewriter44

why?

MathsMaths0

Dunno it just does.

MathsMaths0

Just my opinion

black to move and draw

I'd simply go for the Giuoco Piano instead of the two knights defence. And if my oponent plays the two knights then I'll transpose to the bishop's opening which will likely transpose to the Gioco Piano.
