Fried Liver Attack (when playing Black)

Against the Fried Liver Attack, 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Nf6 4. Ng5, I know the main line is 4... d5 and then 5 exd5 and then Na5 and then 6. Bb5+ c6 7. dxc6 bxc6 and Black essentially sacs a pawn for the initiative. 

However, I'm wondering if the sac is worth it. I'm not too good or comfortable with sacing pawns. I don't know whether to play 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Bc5 just to avoid the Fried liver Attack. Any ideas? Thank you! 

The Fried Liver is when Black recaptures the d-pawn with 5...Nxd5. Na5 is the "main line" Two Knights.

You can play 3...Bc5, but then you'll have to deal with the Evans Gambit.

Being down a pawn in an open game is not necessarily a bad thing.

Isn't the fried liver attack after 5...Nxd5 and then Nxf7?
