Ahh, the Patzer variation. This will give you the information you need. It does work well in Blitz doesn't it?

When I play Center Counter/Scandinavian, I don't typically play ...Qe5+ because it gains no tempo, but when you do see it, try Be2 instead. Nge2 locks in the bishop, and doesn't allow for good piece activity. Also, If you're unfamiliar with it, look for more activating moves (Bf4 instead of Be3). Finally, I haven't really faced OOO for white, but scince the main Idea of Center Counter is to OOO and then storm queenside, so it could work. Hope this helps!
I get this too many times in 5 minute blitz games when playing 1. e4. How do others play the center counter as White? Is it a poor move by Black to play 3...Qe5+ ? I can't find it in any book on openings. Black usually replies with 4...Bg4. Now, both of White's knights are pinned and/or under attack. It's not a fun game for White at this point! Thanks for any help.
