how to actually use Chess Openings Wizard?

In case you have Lucas Chess already downloaded, you can do this with that. Here's a quick guide:
1. Open the Learn Openings by Repetition module
2.Click New to create a new training session
3.Click add to add an opening to the list of openings to train
4.Make moves on the board or select a pre-defined line from the dialog to create a line to train.
5.When you have the list of lines you want to train finished, click accept.
6.Click train and off you go!
There are ways to create entire opening systems and train on those with Lucas Chess. If you want to see some of those features, please see my blog post, linked below:

I make this post mostly because I don't believe in Chess Opening Wizard at all. I think there are better programs to use, even free ones. If you want a premium product, try Chess Position Trainer. The full features of CPT are free for a month and the limited version that works after a month is enough for most people. Good luck.
THank you. I will try Lucas.
I have the CPT installed as well. That is better that COW, which seems confused an overbloated nonsense.

I do not have "English Opening" in my list of choices?? (Step 4)
Make the move on the board and a list will appear.

In Chess Position Trainer, you have to create the lines you want to train yourself. There aren't selectable openings to choose from, you make your own. You can import a pgn file of the opening if you want, though.
Here's a video about making your openings in CPT. The CPT channel on youtube has several videos to show you how to use it.

Yea, I don't want to create any lines. I just want to be told the book lines for a common opening. If I knew the lines, I wouldn't need to train them! duh! I can't believe people make such software while being oblivious to the needs of actual users.
I want a program to play English opening. I have NO IDEA what those moves are. If I did, I would already know the line.

Then the Lucas Chess option I gave is probably the simplest.
Chess Position Trainer was not designed to teach you standard lines. It was designed to keep track of your own repertoire and train on it. There are resources out there to help you come up with your lines, and that's what people that use CPT use. If you had a pgn file of moves you wanted to use, you could just import that. But again, if you have nothing and don't want to try to come up with something from whatever resources, Lucas Chess has the basics for you.
Ok, does anyone have any idea how to actually use Chess Openings Wizard? I simply want to practice against the English opening. I have no idea how to use this software.
