Is there a simple way to actully ADD a PGN file to a created Data base on ChessBase without going through 500 menu's?

I have read ChessBase Complete, look at videos online but have not yet manage to get a pgn file added to a custom database.

Thanks for any help!

Click and drag the database icon to the icon of the database that you want to add it to. I do this almost daily.

Does this also work for chessbase 10, i dont seem to manage easily

Drag and drop didn't work for me with CB15. I had to join the (700) pgn file into one file. Then open the file in a database.

As a software professional I can tell you this : Chessbase 16, 15. etc. has the worst, most idiotic User Interface that I've ever seen, and I've seen many.

Software professionals have their own priorities that often differ markedly from the needs and wants of software users. I find ChessBase well-designed. I’ve used it for many thousands of hours.

What I love about plain text files is how easy they are not manipulate. If you every wind up downloading one game at a time for what ever reason and have access to a bash shell, just put all of the pgns in the same directory and run

cat *.pgn >> newdatabase.pgn.

Just remember to use the two >> for redirect the output and append when adding new pgns to an existing pgn file. Not one >, that overwrites the file with the output.

Software professionals are those who design every interface to every software and every website you've ever used, including this one. Only at Chessbase they're anything but professionals, more like pathetic amateurs. User Experience is a science you obviously have no clue about.

Tell your manager at Chessbase to visit Internet forums like Reddit where everyone is mind-boggled of how idiotic, clunky and hard to use Chessbase interface is.
