Hello everyone,

Does anyone know of any good lines or ideas, for example which refute or destroy the Nd4 trap line in the Italian that black plays?

From here it is white to move.
This trap is where black wants you to take on e5 and then from there he will allow you to fork his rook and queen once his queen comes out to g5

There isn't really a way to quickly destroy the Black here, however 4. c3 or 4. Nxd4 should give the White a better position with advantage in development.

3 ... Nd4 is a cheap trap, and it violates the principle of moving the Knight twice in the opening.

The simplest thing to do is just take the Knight.

4 Nxd4 exd4

Now White has a piece developed to Black's none, plus the move.

5 O-O Nf6

Now Black has some problems.  If 5 ... Bc5, 6 Bxf7+ Kxf7, 7 Qh5+ g6, 8 Qxc5 picks up a pawn and threatens another, although White may be giving up some inititiative to Black.

Preventing d4 for the time being.  6 Qe2 would accomplish the same thing.

6 ... d6
7 c3

White will get rid of the pawn at d4 and have a solid center and a space advantage.

Yes, c3 seems sufficient...If Nxf3 then Qxf3, what comes after black plays Qf6 or Nf6? What should white do in both situations?

Just take the Knight, not the pawn. Black has nothing.
