How to handle white attack on f7

Hi Owltuna
I like that strategy. In move number 6, didmn't you mean 6.Qc4 "b5!", not b4?
I'm going to try that as soon as possible.
Thanks
You could try the e6 variations of the sicilian.
1. e4 c5, and after 2. Bc4 (dubious) play the natural 2. ..e6. White's bishop is totally misplaced, and they will have to spend a tempo improving it.
The downside is black may have trouble developing their light squared bishop. However black can play for a delayed d5 (giving back the tempo, but activating the bishop) after Be7 and castling.
My blitz rating is around 850 and one of the most common attacks that I see from white is to bring out the light bishop to c4 and the queen to either h5 or f3 to attack my pawn on f7. It's generally not recommended to bring the queen out so early in the game and I am often able to chase it around and stall whites development and sometimes even capture the queen or a minor piece. But aggressive players who are also good tacticians are too often able to capture some of my pieces and cause me some serious trouble.
I am looking for some resources on how to handle this sort of attack on f7, does it have a name and are there any good defenses one should consider? The problem about alot of opening theory is that most players on my level don't play the way they are supposed to :)
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
