Hello again everyone, according to my previous topic about the best source to learn openings, I received a replay said it's better to ask the others for good books or tutorials; since I don't have much time to read lots of books or tutorials to find the best one, I'm searching for help from you:)<3 so, what is a good book or tutorial for opening for white? is it good to read repertoire books like opening repertoire 1 e4 by cyrus lakdawala? or I should choose some specific openings against blacks move like Italian after e5 Nc6 or liver attack in two knights defense? each way you prefer, please introduce good sources to study and thank you

I like chessable courses

Not promoting, but chessly has good resources & the free stuff is great too. Helped me get back into chess. Do check it out.

The broad opening books/courses that cover an entire 1.e4 repertoire are only recommended if you're at a complete loss. There are many excellent ones. But it's a huge project to learn many openings at once.

I would recommend that you choose an opening you want to learn. You should do this based on your previous experience, what you encounter in your games, what your idols play, etc.
Thus, if you want to learn 1.e4 with the white pieces, you must first choose whether you want to learn to play against 1...c5 or 1...e5. Those are the primary answers. If your favourite opponent always beats you with French 1...e6 or Caro-Kann 1...c6 or the Scandinavian 1...d5, perhaps that's the opening you should focus on.

Once you've chosen, you can ask for more specific advice.

The “Keep It Simple With ___” series is probably the best starting place. Once you have those ‘simple’ variations down, maybe start to choose more difficult variations and ask for books about those specific variations.
