I can't seem to find any resources on the old Indian, can anyone explain it to me or share resources.

The moves are similar to the King's Indian defense without fianchettoing the king's bishop. Several books cover the opening including the MCO, a book titled The Old Indian Move by Move, and it is also covered in Play 1...d6 Against Everything. The opening has been played by Morozevich, Shabalov, Jobava, Hodgson, Aronian, Movsesian, Volokitin, Benjamin, Adams, Speelman, Nezhmetdinov, Akopian, and Romanishin.

Interesting approach, but if black transposes into the Benoni then he probably doesn't have much to worry about.  The breaks available to white would also be available to black.
