I guess that is true. But if after Bg5, e6 is the mainline. So, even if a scheveningen pawn structure arises, it is still a variation fo the sicilian.
Does anyone know any instructive games of as to how to play this variation?

Hello Everyone,
I simply had a question on how to play the Najdorf variation that is called the scheveningen attack variation. If anyone has any experience in this line, not the classical najdorf, posting here on as to, for example, where the pieces are typically placed or where the pieces maneuver to, would be great.
Thanks
