How to prevent someone from going into IKD

I play indian kings defence alot, so I would like to know what's the best way to either stop someone from going into the kings indian defence, or make the kings indian defence a bad decision for black?

first off, why do you want them to not play it? if you know it as black, shouldnt you be better off as white vs. the KID than, say, the nimzo?

but to avoid it youd have to play the Tromp or something like that... and that sideline would be against all Indian defenses so it would be hard to isolate just the KID..

I ussually can smoothly transform into a king indian defence just by play e5 d4 nf6 g6 bg2 0-0 into this.

I also ussually try to play nd7, or shoot the bishop to attack or knight or something else equally bad ass.

I'd like to know what a grandmaster would play against my defence, or at least a solid popular response I would get playing better players. This way I can know the best way to recover, and overcome.

I dont know if this answering your question, but the most common GM moves vs. the KID would be-

Why don't you just get really, really good at the KID (as white), so that no one will face you with it

I like playing both sides of the KID, I wouldnt dream of trying to prevent anyone from playing it !

you cant, simple as that

You can't really prevent your opponent from going into the KID setup but you can delay / avoid playing c4. For example 1. d4 Nf6 2. Nf3 and now if you see 2. ...g6 you can go for 3. Nc3 and try to force the Pirc instead of the KID.

I know Smyslov in the USSR played an anti-KID variation, when he wanted a positional squeeze. It is a calm line with Bf4 and e3 with the idea of preventing the typical e5 break in the KID. This was mentioned in Zurich 1953 book, back then it was supposed to give white a slight advantage, not sure of the verdict now.
