How to use Chess.com openings practice section effectively

I've been trying out this tool for the past couple days, however, it makes me feel like I'm not making any progress as when I'm trying to learn a specific variation the bot makes a move I don't accept. Additionally, sometimes it makes clear engine moves as opposed to "book" moves.

I know there are a lot of good advise in regards to learning openings, however, this practice tool seems like I can replay the same opening as long as I want until I get it right. Nevertheless, I'm still open to suggestions that cater to my needs ("being able to replay the same opening until I get it right")

The tool is a bit infuriating when you need to learn by repetition a position and it only repeates the second variation in the program. Best you can do is play through the moves using set up the position and start your game from there or use the fen to start from that position.

Can you elaborate on "it only repeates the second variation in the program". I feel like that may be a useful bit of information too

So I noticed that when I used it, the program played the mainline once. Then a second line repeatedly alternating to a third line every so often but never went back to the mainline move unless I completely left the section of the app and went back in the it would start the process over again. Bad randomisation I would say.

So I got the chance to try it out today, and I'm upset that you're right. It does do that.
