If you don't like the Fried Liver, try the playing the Traxler when the chance arrives- it's definitely NOT the most accurate line of play (if they capture f7 with the bishop for example, it ruins all the fun.) ...but it certainly makes for exciting chess.
This "traxler" is also knows as the "Wilkes-Barre Variation". With the regard to the origianl post/game, I pray that it was a 1min speed game. If not...yeech. You can also try the "hungarian defense", which is .... 3.Be7, keeping the white knight off of g5 until after you've castled.
