that's a variation of the Goring Gambit, which can also arise from a Danish Gambit move order, it's impossible to invent decent openings in 2021

I understand your hype but it's no longer possible to find new openings, now there is only room for creativity in novelties in already estabilished openings

It is possible, but you have to look hard.

ConfusedGhoul

a new opening is totally impossible as years and years of practice and research have found every single opening that deserves a name, the future of inventions in openings is only on novelties

This looks like a new gambit with a trap !

Sack_o_Potatoes

I like it, but it's too long

As pointed out, it’s the Goring gambit. It can also arise from the Scotch. Everything has been played. Even the new Jobava London, which sounds new, isn’t. It’s a new name given to an old opening for marketing reasons. Simon Williams has done this more than once by slapping a new name on an old opening and selling DVDs. The best anyone can really hope for is to either get some variation of a line named after them, or add so much new theory to an old opening that people start calling it by your name.

You would honestly be surprised how much playable chess is relatively unexplored 4 moves in. This game is fabulously complex. Now, you're probably not going to find anything I'd classify as more than 'surprise-weapon grade' in that range, but there are some fascinating ones.

I mean that this isn't a gambit you created, it already is a gambit.

You mean e4 e5 Nc3 b5 is already a gambit ?! even the AV-Nakhmanson Gambit with Rb8+ on move 20 is also already a gambit?! How , and who else plays it? Also , if it's so well known where is the name for it it doesn't show on Chess.com either definetly not in the Explorer or in the Openings sections ?

There are losing gambits that are named as well, but if someone comes up with a novelty gambit on move 28 of a sideline of the archangel for example it's still a new gambit

Sure, there are some gambits that are losing by a pawn, but definitely not a change of 3.

What do you mean a change of 3 ?

Lots of losing gambits are played because they offer practical chances. I think computers rate the double Muzio Gambit as outright losing, But I’ve never not won it when I’ve had the chance to spring it on someone.

What's the name of this gambit ? If it's already there !
