Ideas after 1. d4 Nf6 2. Nc3?

I've recently began learning the Nimzo-Indian for the first time ever (used to play K.I.D.) and I often get this 2. Nc3 move. Even though I'm looking to play the N.I.D., I'm thinking e6 is no good in that position. Probably better would be to play a Queen's Gambit with the colors reversed.

2.d5 is best, as white either goes for the bf4 or bg5 version of the veresov/ jobava london system, both can be neutralized relatively easier than some other opening where you allow white to play e4 on move 3. and the only other try is the blackmar diemer gambit, which is at best suspicious. tricky but if you study it doesn't really work for white. i have the nimzo in my repertoire, and i have played the french as well, but in my opinion you shouldn't allow white to escape into a white side of a french even if you play the french, just because you can force him into something definitely inferior.

If you're happy playing the French defense, there's nothing wrong with 2...e6. But once White plays 2.Nc3, you're not in Nimzo/Queeens Gambit land  anymore. 2...d5 is the most usual move
