is the Evans gambit valid at intermediate level?

I play the Evans gambit, sometimes better than other times, but that is a concentration issue at the times I play. Nothing wrong with the gambit itself, just your own knowledge that matters. Black when playing 1..e5 has to know some theory for Ruy Lopez, several Italian lines, Scotch, Vienna, King's gambit. If they are booked up for just Evans gambit then you still have a playable position. If not booked up then you will get good positions if you play correctly, it is sharp.

"is the Evans gambit valid at intermediate level?" ++ On a theoretical level it is a bit dubious. On a practical level it does not happen that often, as 3...Nf6 occurs more than 3...Bc5.
"queen's gambit and trompowsky attack" ++ Queen's Gambit is good. Ditch the Trompovsky.
"caro kann" ++ Good
"semi slav" ++ Good
"switching to e4" ++ Why?
"I won't be getting the positions I want" ++ Indeed
I’m not saying this to knock you down, just to temper you expectations and keep you from getting frustrated and quitting organized chess.
Enjoy Chess… if you reach that Elo … Awesome!
As for opening choice … You DO You!
Nothing Wrong with any of your opening choices, just use openings that will give you positions you will understand on a consistent bases. (That way you can put you opening prep aside… and study tactics, positional strategies and endgame techniques. People blame their performances on there opening choices… as if their middle and endgame techniques are predicated on what opening they play.
The only time a decision to play a particular opening matters is at Super GM level (and that is predicated by all kind of circumstances)
@pcalugaru why can't I reach 2000 elo ? I'm not saying this year or the next but in 4 years 100% I'm only 17
Champ … Not saying you can’t … you might have the ability to be an NM or IM. What I was saying is don’t let your ELO dictate your love of the game.
The other was , don’t listen to people about openings. (Other than a coach if you got one)
@pcalugaru yeah I got you but winning for me is the fun of chess but I totally respect playing chess just for fun

Evans Gambit is a decent option. Not one that I would recommend, mind you, but a decent option.
I’d actually recommend sticking with and doubling down on the d4 c4 pawn center. The Trompowsky is not very strong or principled, and if you don’t want to play into peoples’ prep, you can go 3. g3 (which avoids the Grunfeld, QID, and NID, and is a rather rare sideline in the Benoni and KID) and learn the Catalan.

The Evans Gambit was heavily played before 1900

It is now only played as a surprise

Evans gambit is probably the most fun opening to play ever!
It can easily be played - even at a fairly high level. When you reach GM level, you run the risk that you have just lost a pawn, but Short, for example, was happy to play it.

Evans Gambit is best way to fight in Italian Game. White can takeover the complete control of center, open diagonals which lead to Black face problems to castle kingside and it also targets weak f7 point. However, if you are E4 player I would advise everyone to play Vienna System rather than Italian opening.
