Italian opening

Anyone there of 1800+ strength who plays italian here? Wanna follow and look at his games to get better understanding of the opening 🙄🙄

check out some of fabiano caruana games with italian
he doesnt push but usually goes d3 and it starts to resemble a kind of ruyish lopez; the rest of the italian games all deviate after Bc4

Thanks... Even anand plays it sometimes.. Will have a look for sure but more interested in a player of 1800- 1900 strength..

The Italian is a classical opening. You are not going to run into any odd GM moves until ~move 10 or so. There is no reason to study lower level games in the Italian.

The Italian is a classical opening. You are not going to run into any odd GM moves until ~move 10 or so. There is no reason to study lower level games in the Italian.

You can start with old masters to get started.  I would suggest starting with Emanuel Lasker.
