King's Gambit bishop defense

Hi. I am a 1400 level player and I am unsure how to respond to a line in the King's Gambit opening. The game is over, but it started:

I played white --

kings gambit e 4, e 5, f 4, then the pawn accepts the gambit and takes f4, I bring my knight to F3 and then he brings his dark bishop to E7

The dark bishop ends up landing on H4. At this point I have no idea how to respond the next time this happens. I know this is a risky opening but there should be some measure I can take before the bishop reaches H4 or after.

Thanks

Mark

I think that's the Cunningham Defense. You can try Ke2, it's safer than it looks. The King's Gambit is not played for castling into safety!Tongue out

If I'm not wrong, it is Cunningham Defense.

If I were you, I'll keep developing with Bc4.
When he check my King, I will capture with my Kngiht and escape the King to f1.

I don't know what is the name for this line, maybe it's "True_Beginner Variation".

Thanks for the suggestions, and the one contributor is right that above white's position from my amateur's eyes does not look equal at all!
