Learning Fritz

Hi, yesterday I received Deep Fritz 14 from my father. I installed it but it's very complicated...

From where must I begin learning? I am a beginner player

Pretty sure (I haven't checked in awhile) Youtube has a ton of instructional videos on Fritz.

Assuming Fritz 14 has the same basic interface as Fritz 12 (which I own), you can start playing immediately, if that's what you want.

* Change time controls by clicking the "Blitz Game" button.
* Flip board by clicking Board, then "Flip Board."

The interface is reasonable and safe enough that you can experiment without worrying about it. Then there are videos on the web as baddogno says.

I would recommend going to Options\Engine and turning off the Coach and everything else unless you like that, as well as Options\Mutimedia and turning of Audio, Chatter, and Music. I hate that stuff.

If you want to look at PGN games, copy PGN to clipboard, click New Game, Paste Game and Infinite Analysis.
