is it worth studying the theory in marshall attack in ruy lopez or should I go with some anti marshall. also, which anti marshall would you recommend?

Anti Marshall of course. Marshall is lots of theory all ending in a draw.
Which one is better is still disputed probably 8 a4:

But 8 h3:

The Marshall is very interesting, but I doubt it's worth the work as White -- lots of chances to go wrong, and even if you survive a pawn up, it's not clear you can really win - Black retains nice initiative into the endgame.

The various anti-Marshalls are probably a better way to get a game where you have some claim to an advantage (a bit of space). All the main ones (8. a4, 8. h3, 6. d3, etc) all seem reasonable enough ways to get away from the forcing stuff and just get a game.

8. a4 is the best aggressive way White can play.
8. c3 is the best sharp way for White to play.
8. d3 is the best positional way for Whit to play.
8. h3 is the best way for White to play an endgame.

Whats the difference between 'sharp' and 'aggressive'
