Mega database

In the mega database, is there a way to filter games by the year they were played? Like lets say I just want to see what was played between 2010 and 2013 in a paticular position. How would I do that?

Too expensive for me, sorry not a clue.  @Tigerprowl, it's a premium Chessbase product:

I also don't know, but I imagine there are youtube tutorials for using that chessbase product.

There is yes. If you're using it in Chessbase or any of the playing engines (Fritz, Houdini etc) that's just one of the standard filters.

Then it's not mega.  It is a chessbase gimmick.  Nothing "mega" about it.  Just a way to get more gullible people.

Chessbase can name their products however they like. Mega database comes with annotated games while big database doesn't.

'mega' is the prefix for 'million'. The chessbase product has several million games in it. Thus, mega database.

That's in scientific language mostly, for other uses: great, large, vast, big, high, tall; mighty, important.

So, back to the original question, is there any way to filter games by year on this thing, whatever its name aughta be?

Open the database in chessbase and then hit the filter list button (magnifying glass) and check the year box and enter a range of years
