Most dangerous gambit

There are many good gambits, and most of them are useful and have potential, but which gambit is the most dangerous for the gambitter himself? Any ideas?

Well I have evaluated the one I know.

The King's Gambit is probably one of the most dangerous one, but it is my favorite.

The Queen's Gambit on the other side is probably the safest one.

Here are the rest I need some opinions on

The Allagier gambit of the KGA.

The Blackmar-Diemer Gambit

The Evan's Gambit of the Giuoco Piano

The Latvian Gambit

From's Gambit in the Bird's Opening

The Danish Gambit

The Smith-Morra Gambit

I'm sure there are more, so which one is the most dangerous out of every gambit you can name?

TrueFiction

I like the Fried Liver Attack where white gambits away a knight, in return for a crushing attack.

oinquarki

This is your idea of the most dangerous gambit?!

Hilariously pathetic!Laughing

I thought this was going to be about the Halloween or Double Muzio, and you've got the Queen's Gambit up there!; That's not even a real gambit! This thread is ridiculous!

Whoo! Yeah! Down with material, baby!

TrueFiction

Oh yeah, the Traxler counterattack can be pretty dangerous too.

the halloween gambit is very dangerous

I also love the max lange attack, if black makes one mistake they are gone
segway123

ah yes i forgot to say the latvian gambit

The Danish is a double-edged sword. I see it like a "more agressive Smith-Morra".

DrawMaster

The most dangerous gambit is the one you play (or play into) with the least understanding of the traps, themes, and positions. Wink

Marshall from ruy lopez is cool

I found the Hobbs Gambit (1. f4 g5) to be pretty treacherous. Try playing against it against the facebook computer. It looks like the worst possible move against Bird's Opening, but after 4 moves, you'll be in for some wild sacrifices and nasty surprises. In many cases, Chess Theory just doesn't apply.

i think this line of evans gambit would be the most risky for white and the most amazing gambit if accomplished

evans gambit

e4 e5 Nf3 Nc6 Bc4 Bc5 b4 Bb6 a4 a6 a5 Ba7 b5 axb5 Bxb5 Nf6 Ba3 Nxe4 Qe2 Nxf2 Nxe5 Nd4 Nxd7+ Nxe2 Nf6#

Mate in 2 after white plays f4 and g4 is the most dangerous gambit - gambit away a whole king and hope that the opponent misses it.

1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e5

I only know 2 gambits that are well respected in top play they are actually avoided.Interestingly, they both bear the same name,Marshall.

The danish and the morra are nothing like each other.

I like gambits.

I play them a lot mostly the queens gambit, though I'm wondering if I should try the Stafford gambit?

@pfren has already given detailed analysis on why he thinks 5.Bxf7+ Ke7 6.Bc4 gives white an advantage.
