My own chess opening: rebuking the anti-fried liver!

This is my creation: a wonderful sacrifice that will end all the games in which your opponent uses the passive anti-fried liver.

Here is a game of mine that included this variation:

Wou_Rem

What if your opponent isn't stupid enough to play like this?
3... h6 is a bad move anyway, waste of tempo. And then he takes the c pawn too? Why not play every other development move there is? Nf6?

Or what if you play the fried liver attack and he plays 5... Na5?

I know h6 is a bad move, I simply proposed a sacrifice I think works against it. If you dont think it works, post a move that you think causes the attack to fall apart.

Why does everyone insist on calling 4 Ng5 in the two knights The Fried Liver Attack?

The actual fried liver is 4 Ng5 d5 5. exd Nxd5 6. Nxf7, with 6 Nxf7 being the defining move.  Sorry If I'm being a little anal... it just bugs me.

 10. Qh4, threatening a discovered attack. If black then chooses to start developing his kingside knight, simply bring your queenside knight into the fray with Nxc3, threatening Nd5+

edit: but yes, this was a major concern of mine when coming up with this opening, but I found out that after the Qh4, and bringing your queenside knight in, the attack is very much still alive

This is the anti-fried-liver defence, 3...h6. This thread is not abou thte fried liver attack.

I stand corrected.  I thought the OP made up the name, but did a search and enlightened myself.  It just seems strange, like calling 1. e4 g5 "The anti-Muzio" or something.

"White's attack seems to be running out."

That seems to be the best defense. I still think the attack would be alive though, with white's ability to castle, and the ability of the queenside knight to sail in on d5. I'll analyze more of it later, when I get access to my physical chess board, and check out the lines. Although I would challenge you to look at white's offensive options and see if you can find an attack yourself.

First on the sacrificial line

It just doesn't work

Why not play normally against 3..h6?

Then the question is whether this is preferable for black to the mainlines?
PrawnEatsPrawn

I think you over-estimate this line for White e.g.

metallictaste

"First on the sacrificial line"

If they play Ke7 first.
could be worse...

After Nxg5 hxg5 Bxg5 Qe8 if Bxe8 then cxb2!

Interesting thread, even if the line can be refuted with stong play from black, it is an interesting way to leave your opponent off balance and in many of the same circumstances he seemed eager to avoid with 3...h6
