Napoleon Opening-White

yes he had one or two okay games against his generals but maybe they feared beating him

He was not so bad.

At the time he played, i guess he was higher rated than 1800 nowadays!

 For example this game : black's play is rather weak, but white found some brillant moves, like f4 and Rf8 :

 This calssical game against Mme de Remusat shows that Napoleon was a very good attacking player.

The opening was not so good, but the final attack is nicely done :

What is strange is that we find the same game color reversed...

In fact this game was played 2 years before the first I gave. I guess Mme de Remusat forgot it and played the moves she liked but Napoleon had a good memory or found again the moves.
