New Vienna Game Group

Hello. I have recently begun playing the Vienna Game as my main white opening, and I noticed that it is one of the only openings in chess that does not have a group on chess.com. I have decided to rectify that.

The Vienna Game, for those that are not familiar, begins 1. e4 e5 2. Nc3. From there, you can do any number of things, with lines ranging from quiet strategic games, to open tactical battles, to aggressive gambiteering.

Like to play the King's Pawn openings, but tired of wading through the theory in the Ruy Lopez, Italian Game, or Scotch Game? Want a little bit of a surprise edge in your OTB play? Come check us out! Once we get an adequate membership, I would love to play vote chess, team matches, and thematic tournaments.

Thanks!

Well, if you would advocate the Vienna Gambit, maybe people would join...it's much shaper and more exciting than the Vienna Game. When you're advertising, you should include the more exciting stuff or you won't get many people interested. Innocent
