Very interesting. It definately looks playable. I wonder, what is the best response for white? Surely he must attempt to regain his pawn, but how should this be done? Tricky.

White can try to regain the pawn with 5. a4 followed by 6. Na3, or with 5. Nc3 b5 6. a4 b4, when the support of the black c4-pawn has been weakened and this pawn can be picked up later on.
What are your opinions on this obscure variation of the slav?
