I don't know the names of any other than Queen's gambit, and those of you who play me and know the openings will not be surprised.  I have found myself trying to learn the moves that are statistically most beneficial, and the games are starting to take on a certain deja vu charm.

I do find some of these openings just setup a nice defensive position for me to move out the more powerful pieces.

Since I have been playing Blackmar-Diemer, it seems that my early advantage goes way up.  It seems very strange to surrender so many pieces so early in the game, and I consider myself defensive, but this seems to be a fast and powerful opening for position.

Still very much learning... I could be entirely wrong about this.
