Panov or Accelerated Panov?

The Panov Attack (1. e4 c6 2. d4 d5 3. exd5 cxd5 4. c4) is one of White's best options against the Caro Kan, but there is the Accelerated Panov Attack (1. e4 c6 2. c4 d5 3. exd5 cxd5 4. cxd5 ), which is better?

it depends on which position you feel most comfortable with. The panov attack will give you QGA or QGD type positions. the accelerated panov will give you IQP type positions

Hi!
The main difference between both variations is that Black cannot transpose to Nimzo-Indian setups with in the Accelerated Panov because after 4...Nf6 5. Nf3, e6 6 Bc4, the move 6...Bb4 is pointless. Conversely, in the Panov proper 4...Nf6, 5 Nc3, e6 6 Nf3 then Black can play 6...Bb4 which does transpose to the more active Nimzo-indian setup.
