Hello, Matt Buffalohead is the name, Checkmatin is the game. I'm a 29 yr. old Ponca/Coushatta NDN from Ponca City, Oklahoma. I've been playin chess for about 16 years and found it to be a very profound game in a way. I mean, I at first thought it to be an unlimited game with a sort of ethereal vision of great people of the past. I mean, you gotta understand I was a kid of 13 when I learned to move. I learned really fast and pictured myself as the next Mr. Fischer, except "GM Buffalo" would be the name. Maybe one day, huh?
This is actually to help some people, who have been in my shoes, out. I grew up incarcerated, 11 years, starting Feb. '94.
I learned the best I could without a formal (paid for or apprenticeship) education throughout the years. I joined Chess.com, which is the greatest by the way!!,not too long ago and got hit with a brick seemingly, for posting "Open to unique openings.", "Structure or guess work?" and " playin for one side, holy crap!!". I guess I could have been a little off in my perception of the direction I was headed with those topics. Hell, I was just happy to bask in the comfort of people with like minds. I was wrong in that sense. Some people just aren't as humble. I believe in finishing a game even if I'm losin horribly. I also believe in learning and teaching during every game.
If you have simular ideas and/or experiences in your learning the game, then I think you should know, IT'S ALL a big lie. Chess has boundaries with which to deal and there really aren't that many new ideas out there, just people workin on some one else's pre-fab. All variations is all. It's just all variations of somebody else's already thought of style and form of play, so don't get the wrong idea as I did.
Challenge me to play and I will accept. Just send me a messege if your rating is too low.
