How come we can’t post pictures of games and positions? I️t would be cool to get ideas and to learn from and to brag a little bit on cool check mates and interesting positions.

You just need to use the browser version.
It's pretty simple. You download the game files (.pgn) and display them in the forum using the game editor in the forum text box. You can also copy them into any chess engine for analysis.
You could also use a web tool I've just created : "Chess Cards" which enables to display chess diagrams in "Cards".
A chess card is known to be easier to remember.

Drag and drop is not possible, as far as I know, but you can upload images. The quickest way I know how to do that quickly with a board position you see is to hit the <Print Screen> keyboard button, then get into some quick visual editor like Paint if you're on Windows, do a paste of your Print Screen result into Paint, save the result as an image file, then use the Insert Image icon you see above where you normally type text.
