Actually, the easiest way I've found to beat an engine is to get it outside of its process tree as quickly as possible. Following main lines and book moves is the last thing you want to do if you are facing a really strong engine, lol.
[Real Guide this time] How to Beat Chess Engine.

REALLY?!
the OP has written Good stuff! and it applies to playing anyone pretty strong and NOT prone to blunders.

and if all you read was some vague advice about what openings to play- you SO missed the point of what he wrote.
games are won and lost in the middlegame (sometimes the endgame) and NOT (usually) in the opening.

@prologue1 ok...
I guess I missed the tone of your post. I don't want to come across as argumentative either. I just liked the op's post.

Playing against computer is foolish because it is too aggressive and do not give enough room for competency

How can beat sf - nnue in android ? Which is most powerful opening book in the world for winning regularly ???

ok now listen to this i got down to 950 rated in sence everyone been using very powerful engines i mean 2700 and up no way you can win . like out of the last 60 games i only played one real guy he lasted 5 moves lol . when i do win its on time or they slip and won't even try to make a move on there own. don't know why i already know they can't play whats to hide lol. but the easyest way to win is move super fast make um slip . unless they have the auto engine. iv only seen 2 with it today so thats not a real problem YET LOL
Hello. this time im serious. i love to joke with people who take my jokes seriosly and think im complete retard xD. ok so lets start.
1.Play openings you know
This is Important. playing a opening that you don't know against chess engine chances of losing are Very High.
2.Play as Much as Solid Openings as Possible
Example: Queen s' Gambit,French Defense,Nimzo-Indan Defense,Slav Defense,Sicillian Defense . playing something agressive even with a little risk against intellegent machine could lead for a Huge diaster.
3.Do not try tricks except if the engine is set to low difficulty
Yep. you can't beat a engine with some simple tricks like these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4G98sGv2NSU or Lewis Gambit etc and something risky. try playing solid and reasonable moves
4.Calculate as Much as moves ahead as possible.
Important too. being able to see only 2 moves ahead against an engine is completely losing. except if the engine is left with low difficulty setting.
5.Watch Out for Traps
yep.. this is why calculating moves ahead is important. be careful if the engine plays moves where the piece/queen/pawn can be captured its probably a trap or it is a sacriface for important attack against kingside/queenside/attack on your king
6. don't give up pieces/pawns for nothing
7.Whatever you do,DO NOT CASTILE EARLY.
Chess engines often play very agressive. they can focus all of their attack just towards your king. so make youre you castile King/Queens side (which side is more safe) after move 15/10+
8.Blow up the engine s' Pawnstructure
blowing up pawn structure= weakened king/queen side = more attacking chances on that side. if you can attempt to blow up the pawn structure around his king if the engine castiled.
9.Do not sacriface
Well if you are a strong player and you really know what you are doing that sacrifacing is okay. but if you aren't very good chess player than i reccomend not sacrifacing. somethimes down a pawn could lose the game
10.Good Luck Kicking some engine Butt :)
