Resources on the Ruy Lopez (spanish opening)
The way players my age learned was by studying the games in Fischer's 60 Memorable games, in Bronstein's 200 open games and in Barden's old book on it [still good but it's descriptive notation] .
If you can find a copy of the Dover reprint of Euwe's best games there are really good examples of the open Ruy there.
I guess players today watch a video-- There must be good ones out there too. -Bill
Hey guys, a chess noob here that is 2.5 months into chess rn. I've been playing the ruy lopez lately but I want to learn more theories behind the opening. Is there any good books or videos that explain the lines well? Thanks.
