Here it is:

I find 3.Bb5 pointless, because the Bishop is just going to moved from B5, so I reckon you should cut out the middle-man and play 3.Bc4 instead.

Tricklev

What is there to think off it? It´s one of the idea richest, deepest and the most popular 1.e4 e5 opening, with a myriad of ideas, variations and plans available for both sides.

And if someone tells you it´s a bad opening, or pointless, it just means he hasn´t got the slightest grasp of the game, and you should ignore all advices he ever gives you.

To be fair though, you can't just say ignore all the advice a non-Ruy Lopez player gives. There are many other 1.e4 e5 openings to choose from. But I do think it is essential to learn the opening, the idea behind it and variations from it, if one is to get anywhere in Chess, even if he/she dislikes it.

The Ruy Lopez is my favorite opening.
