Actually if we are going to talk the saragossa opening out, it won't work! It's because you play Slav Defense with an extra tempo

Good catch. But with my move order 1. Nf3 f5 then can white return to 2. c4?

Do you think that 1. c3 is a good move? It probably isn't the best, obviously inferior to 1. e4 or 1. d4, but I think it is fully playable. Here is a game played by me just to show you that this opening is not bad at all.
