For white you have to play the Vienna Gambit I don’t even care. Drop the Ruy, drop the Italian, drop the Scotch, drop the Panpenpinponpunziani, drop the Four Knights, drop the King’s Gambit, drop your opening and go to the Vienna Gambit right now. I don’t care what the engine says, Stockfish analyzing games is like a chess player talking to a woman. The Vienna Gambit is the best opening unless you’re playing against GothamChess himself- he’s unbeatable. He has a 100% win rate against titled players with the Vienna Gambit and it’s not even funny. Here’s the critical line:

If black plays Bc5 or Nc6 you can’t really play it but it’s fine because you can premove Bc4, d3, f4, and Nf3

So, the Vienna is obviously a refutation to e5. So, what do you play as black? That’s an idiotic question. A dumb question. A foolish question. A stupid, ignorant question. It’s obviously the Caro-Kann Defense. Do you really not know this? Do you even know who GothamChess is? Do you still have social skills?! You aren’t a chess player.
Anyways, the Caro-Kann begins with 1… c6 which looks like an idiotic move to an absolute beginner who doesn’t understand the intricacies of GothamChess. It’s the best move according to the engine, just ask Gotham. It’s the only response to 1. e4 that earned legendary in GothamChess’s opening tier list which is obviously gospel.
It goes like this:
As you can see, Bf5 is a mistake. Why? It’s the mainline. Mainlines are terrible because of… *shivers*…. theory. Oh, bless me, I have said the sinned word. c5 is a brilliant move. Why, doesn’t it blunder a pawn? No, you insolent amateur. It sacrifices a pawn for an automatic win. Taking is a mistake, check the engine.
If it wasn’t obvious, the Caro-Kann is only playable against e4. Playing it against d4 transposes into the Slav, an opening that only got legit in Levy’s gospel tier list. Long story short, it’s unplayable. So, you need something else against 1. d4. What is that something else? The King’s Indian Defense. Our lord and savior, Gotham, recommends the Dutch, but, as much as it pains me to say this, he’s wrong. Why? The Dutch is refuted by the London. The King’s Indian is not, because you can play the Sampson System, but we’ll get to that later.
You might think black is passive and white is winning. You’re wrong. Why? Black’s gonna play e5, move his f6 knight, f5, and tear open white’s kingside. This has absolutely no theory at all. No. Theory. At. ALL. You can basically premove this and hope your opponent doesn’t play a Trompowsky
But what about the London? What happens if they choose the advanced path? Easy. Sampson system. Easy wins.
Now you have learned our lord and savior’s sacred opening repertoire that guarantees a 100% win rate. Go play some games and spread the word.

Bro I think we got the gist of it when you made that joke for 20000 times like you can stop now

What joke? It’s gospel, the truth. If anything, you’re the hater here.

What point? That GothamChess is a miracle of chess history? If so, I’m happy to prove it.

yeah it’s better than the Ruy Lopez, lol you think your a 2700 grandmaster or something? Why are you trying to climb Mount Everest when you can’t even take a hike in your local forest without getting tired?

SamuelAjedrez95

To all the haters that say the Bongcloud isn't a good opening: Cagnus Marlsen himself has played the Bongcloud.

magipi

So what is the background here? Did Levy beat Hikaru in the Vienna Gambit or what? I don't follow either of those guys.

TheSonics

What Vienna players maybe don't understand is how revealing that move is.

There are certain openings like that early c5 "gambit" in Caro or Vienna which just scream levy fan and you know what they are going for and also what's their attitude to the opening in general...

Of course we allow none of it 2... Bc5 and if they don't know what they do they get mated or lose a knight pretty soon... If they do know what they are doing transpose to a good old closed Italian.

2... Nf6... c'mon man

Ilampozhil25

if not obvious, this is a trollpost by op and they dont actually hold these opinions
