Sicilian Blunder

So in the opening (1. e4 c5 2. nc3 b6) I remember hearing in a lecture somewhere (I think it was a Yasser Seriwan lecture but not sure) that b6 is a blunder for some reason but can't figure out why and can't find the lecture that explained it. Could anybody help me out and explain why b6 is so terrible?

Doesn’t seem like that is the best place for that bishop. Might not be a so called blunder but I’m sure it could be called an inaccuracy at least.

On second thought, we did play that in one of my vote chess games and did end up winning so there is a line where it works obviously.

many strong players play it, some GM play it, there is no "refutation".

I think u misunderstood Yasser at some point : not the same position i guess.

2... b6 is meant to fianchetto the bishop. I'm pretty sure 2...b6 is the Accelerated Dragon Variation of the Sicilian.

As I pointed out, it's incorrect. At least it's very premature. What does it achieve?

After Nc6, Black can castle, and the bishop on b7 can eye on the e4 and d5 squares. Even if they're blocked, once things open up (which is very likely), that bishop on b7 can become quite powerful.

I think u make a confusion between b6/Bb7 and g6/Bg7.

It is not accelerated dragon...

b7 square is usual square for Bc8 in sicilian.

Playing b6 at this moment seems strange but i guess Kamsky, Bauer, and other GM playing it sometimes are patzers (compared to those here thinking 2...b6 is bad which may be true, but not so simple)...
