Slav Defense for White

I have hadto play against the Slav Defense in many tournament games as white, and I was hoping to find any lines that avoid a lot of theory. I dont want to study tons of theory, so I would like some recommendations on what lines are easy to learn and are reasonable against all Black replies.

Well if you want to play the QG, you should lern the slav, but if u want to play a system with d4, there is the stonewall, colle, london, trompovsky, veresov, blackmar-dimmer,

Also i think I should rephrase my original question. I dont mind learning a considerable amount of slav theory, but I dont want to learn ALL of the theory. are there any repertoire books you could recommend?

You should look into 1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.Nf3 Nc6 4.e3. This is a quieter way to play against the Slav, and avoids the loads of theory associated with the main-line slav (4...dxc4) and the Semi-Slav. Black will usually either bring the bishop out to f5 and play e6, in which case white can eventually get the bishop pair with Nh4; or he will play 4...e6, hoping for a Meran. White does not have to oblige though, because the queen's knight is not yet comitted to c3 and can go to d2 instead, avoiding the traditional Meran lines.

There is still a fair bit of theory, but it is not as sharp or forcing as the main lines.

         what's the difference between playing the QG and some 1.d4 system like the colle,london system , etc. Or how  to avoid the Slav or what is the best system against    2 ... d5  ?

Even in books for queen`s pawn games like "a killer chess opening repertoire" you`ll find transpositions into some slav systems, e. g. 1. d4 d5 2. Nf3 Nf6 3. e3 Bf5 4. c4 c6

Staying at the colle with 4. Bd3 is concidered completely harmless.

Hello. One very good DVD which personally helped me win many games was Kasimdzhanov's 60min DVD on the Slav. It is titled "Beat the Slav The Classical Way". Hope this helps.
