He played too passive in the opening and didn't attack enough.

29. Qg1? Why not just Rxf5 or just retreat the rook?

what do you guys think of this opening.is it playable?

White missed 9. Qxg6+.

well spotted instead of playing rook pawn push i should have moved my king first .:)

It is not, just try to play it against any computer and you will understand

White controls the center and develops faster.  Here is one of my games when someone tried this defense.

Idea is to play all the pawn front and wait for white to respond,in theabove mentioend game the opponent just jumped the gun

The closest someone has come in playing the Spartan Defense with every pawn on the 3rd rank against me is this game.  I like to think of my attack as the Persian Attack against the Spartan Defense.
