Ok, I don't know any lines, but about 6.c4: I think generally releasing the central tension so early like that in these types of systems when you don't need to isn't great. It leaves white with a free hand in the centre so can really leave your position vulnerable to an e4 break in the near future in particular without White having to worry about any cxd4 ideas.

EDIT: Also I'm no Stonewall expert, but I like the idea of playing g6 and Bg7 against it. I think it can really take the sting out of White's K-Side attacking plans. I didn't like 9.Nd7: your f6-Knight is a crucial defender and you didn't have time to kick away White's Knight on e5 with f6 without it weakening your position too much.

Damm its sad that you lost... i was looking also for a counter on the stone wall.. from my view after the 18 moves your position is very playable.. maybe you just had a bad move on the end game :D(no offense)

Just a note about teminology: usually the black openings are called defences. So when white plays the stonewall it's more like a stonewall attack! (ok, I'm not sure if this terminology is appropriate either :)... maybe it's simply the stonewall opening or the stonewall).

About the actual game: I have never really bothered about theory of this opening but I would imagine that before e6 black would want to post his bishop outside the pawn chain. So maybe 2... Nf6 followed by something like Bf5+e6 etc.

Openings belong to white or black.

A black opening XXX that is played by white is called XXX-Attack.

A white opening YYY played by black is called YYY-Reversed.

In this case the Stonewall is a variation of the Dutch Defense but white is playing it so it's called Stonewall-Attack.

This is not the "stone wall defense".  This the "stonewall variation" of the "Bird's Opening".

you did, because it starts with d4 f5, and it comes from the dutch defence
