Yes, it's great.
Stonewall attack

i think stonewall attack is a good option for players under 1900.but at the higher level this opening will get crushed having said that i use this opening quite often

There is no one size fits all opening. In Tim Taylor ' s book on Bird's opening, he points out the circumstances where the stonewall attack is ok and when it is not. Against certain defenses by black, white would be slightly worse and fighting just to draw.
There literally is no one size fits all. Here is why:
The London is dubious against the Modern Defense and black is slightly better.
The Torre is dubious against defenses with 1...d5 or 2...d5, and is really only effective against KID or Nimzo-Indian setups.
The Colle is ineffective against fianchetto defenses.
The Veresov is unplayable against the modern or old Benoni
The Tromp is unplayable against 1...e6 and the Modern Defense.
The King's Indian Attack is unplayable against the Scandinavian, useless against 1...e5, and in the 1.Nf3 move order, it is not very good against 1...d6. Better off responding to ...d6 with d4.
So again - there is no one size fits all!
Hi all,
I was wondering if the stonewall attack is a good opening to play.
