Hello Everyone,

Where are the best places to play chess on summer vacation? You can list places at home, in your city, or places you come across while taking a vacation out of town.

Remember to number them and say places that you would play at in real life!

I'll start. 1. At a hotel

2. At a country club, by the pool

Hmm.. I thought I remembered doing that, though maybe I clicked on the wrong one. I'll change it though.

by far the best place is in one of the budapest thermal baths. great relaxation and fun at the same time :)

4. Outside on the patio

5. In outer space

Sure, you can take a vacation to space, but I have one question.

How do you keep the pieces on the board? xD

6. On a travel set in the car that is heading towards the most fun place there can be!

7. On a roller-coaster!  (actualy that may be the worst place, but it would be fun)

8. While tent camping in the mountains,  either when enjoing that first cup of morning coffee, or by an evening camp fire with smores and the light of a Coleman Lantern.

9. A cruise ship coffee lounge

10. On your computer. (yes during summer vacation)

11. In the national championship (I will play)

12. At a restaurant

13. In Hawaii

This would get a vote from me.

14. In a nice reading room with a fireplace crackling, sitting in a couple of 100 year old high back chairs with well worn leather, with a long time friend and a good 25 yr old single malt, neat.
