when black uses the sicilian i sometimes sac a few pawns for rapid expansion but i dunno about this. Personally i doubt i would ever do this.

How sound is this opening? The idea seems to be that black can develop pieces while white is busy eating up pawns on the queenside. Is the material loss worth it?
