I know the theory is not to give up the D pawn for a wing Pawn>>>>> But i just dont know what to play after words.
i was analysing some master games and they get into e6 lines?? but i suppose e5 is alright (attacking the center) because whites d4 pawn is gone hmmm.
dxc5 is bad because White wastes a move capturing a wing pawn with a center pawn while Black is ahead in development (White hasn't developed any pieces!). e6 scores best for Black next, with best play probably being 4. Nc3 Bxc5 and Black has equalized/minutely better. Better than dxc5 for White is d5, which gets him a central pawn wedge.
For black to play 3... e5 would probably not be as good as e6, because now White can make the developing move 4. Nf3 to counterattack the e-pawn and get back some development time. e6 is more solid.
I feel, however, that at a lower level White might try to play 4. b4?! to hold onto the extra pawn instead. Recommended for Black is 4... Nc3! which now forces White to defend the b-pawn, which can be done only by further pawn moves/misplacing his pieces with 5. Qb3 or Ba3.

so beginners might move b4?! so to move with tempo move Nc3
i've seen Qa5+ winning the pawn back and developing the queen to a "reasonably safe" location played a few times.
I think the theory is sound in pushing straight for e5 though, and leave white grovelling for control of the centre, as the wing pawns are hard to defend anyway.
oh also though e5 creates a backward d pawn.......... with a hole at e6
You mean at d6 ?
