The Elephant Gambit

I have been playing this lately. It is a countergambit, and I usually play gambits as white on 1.e4  e5. Used to play the Alekhine's Defense, but didn't like the defensive positions that sometimes resulted. It is sort of similar to the Alekhine's or the Sicilian in giving attacking opportunities in oprn positions. Sometimes it results in post center files fully open, which can lead to an early endgame, which I don't mind. You of course need to face Kings Gambit, Vienna, Bishops Opening etc. occasionally. I know it isn't sound and maybe not playable at the master level. However. black can equalize if white doesn't know the right lines. White can also fall into traps, and it usually gets to game out of the book quickly. This is a main line, which is favorable for white.
